Stanfordbury Farm lies near Southill in Bedfordshire. It was a medieval manor, first mentioned in 1198, and the current farm house probably lies on the site of that manor house. It is surrounded by earthworks, once thought to be Roman in origin, but probably dating from the medieval period and defensive in nature. Heavy ploughing in the 20th century has removed any traces beyond crop marks.
