The Red Mount is a possible early Norman earthwork castle, near King’s Lynn, Norfolk, England. Historians are uncertain about whether a castle was built on the site, which is a naturally well defended site near the medieval port. The earthwork mound may have formed an early Norman fortification, built after 1066 and soon abandoned. The octagonal Red Mount Chapel was later built into the mound in 1485, and used for various purposes until it was restored in the 21st century. The site is protected under UK law as a Scheduled Monument and a Grade I listed building.
